The dialogue was intense, enlightening, and revealing. Mom listened to both her sons and their thanksgiving guests. This type conversation hadn’t happened in such a long time. Breakthroughs in consciousness occurring were occurring. The phone rang. Would dare intrude into this sacred space.
Dad, we’re having a serious conversation so get straight to the point. Dad had intruded, causing anxiety and frustration. A lull in the conversation. How dare he!
But was this an intrusion or divine intervention. How often do we treat God the same way when he interrupts our sage, selfish activities. How dare God show up in the middle of our good time. Do we shut God down, tune God out and tell him to hurry up? What if we had invited God into our conversation, shared our excitement with him? Selah.
