Valuing AARP Members

I want to take a moment to encourage you all and remind you of the incredible value you bring to society. Each and every one of you has a wealth of knowledge, experience, and wisdom that is invaluable to those around you.

Your contributions to your communities and families are immeasurable, and you continue to make a positive impact every day. Your dedication to lifelong learning and personal growth is inspiring, and it sets an example for generations to come.

You continue to contribute to society even while aging through volunteering. Many of you continue to give back to your communities through various organizations and causes, sharing your skills and knowledge with others.

Volunteering not only benefits those in need, but it also provides a sense of purpose and fulfillment for the volunteer. Whether it’s mentoring young people, serving in a soup kitchen, or supporting a charity, the contributions of AARP members through volunteering are immeasurable.

In fact, according to a recent report by AARP, older Americans contribute over $64 billion worth of unpaid caregiving and volunteer work to their communities each year. This is a testament to the incredible value and impact that AARP members have on society, even as they age.

So, keep volunteering, keep giving back, and keep making a difference in the world. Your contributions are greatly appreciated and make a positive impact on countless lives.

As we navigate the challenges of aging, it’s important to remember that we are never alone. Together, we can support one another, share our experiences, and find joy in the journey.

So to all of my fellow AARP members, I want to say: keep going, keep growing, and keep shining. You are an essential part of our society, and your presence and contributions are deeply appreciated.

Thank you for all that you do, and let’s continue to make a difference in our communities and the world.
